The Story Behind Seen and Heard

Seen and Heard is based on the real-life experiences of Kimberly Kushner, who struggled with severe symptoms of endometriosis from the age of eleven. For twelve years, she endured chronic pain, heavy bleeding, digestive issues, fatigue, and numerous misdiagnoses, often feeling dismissed and unheard by the medical community. After finally receiving a correct diagnosis through laparoscopic surgery, she began a journey of healing by combining conventional medicine with naturopathic and nutritional approaches.

Inspired by her own experiences and her years of clinical practice as a naturopath and clinical nutritionist, Kimberly wrote Seen and Heard to give a voice to women suffering from endometriosis. Through her personal story and professional knowledge, she aims to educate, support, and empower readers, helping them understand their bodies and reminding them that they are not alone in their struggle.

Having personally struggled with endometriosis for over a decade before receiving a diagnosis, she became passionate about helping others facing the same condition. Through her book Seen and Heard, Kimberly combines her professional knowledge with her own experiences to educate, support, and empower women on their journey toward better health and healing.
